Whether accompanied by piano, guitar, organ or drums—or simply a cappella—songs of praise to our Lord are a vital part of the worship experience. Voices raised together in joyful song uplift our worship and deepen our bonds to one another in the community of faith.
Special music gives worshipers a chance to listen and be still, inspiring reverence and awe, or to clap and sway along as the Spirit moves. The choir delights in sharing their musical gifts; repetition in rehearsal invites the music to sink deep into the soul. If you are interested in participating in the choir, email email@example.com.
You are invited to join the Church of the Covenant on Sunday, March 10th at 3:00pm as we present a Lenten Lecture with music on the "Spirituals of Lent" by Dr. Eileen Guenther, Professor Emerita of Church Music at Wesley Theological Seminary. This is a very special opportunity to hear and learn more about these powerful spirituals which focus on freedom and resurrection. We hope to see you in our Fellowship Hall on the 10th!
